Chatham, November 27th- Charlie Keen Adkins, 83, of Pittsylvania County, passed away Tuesday at the home of his son, Jesse J. Adkins, near Climax. He was a member of Harpen Creek Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two sons, Earl C. and Jesse J.; three daughters, Mrs. E.N. Petty, Mrs. H.A. Adkins and Mrs. W.K. Kendrick; 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. J.H. McDowell, Mrs. J.H. Kendrick, Mrs. C.W. Gibson and Mrs. S.G. Matherly.
