Greenville - Dorothy Dean Beasley, 78, of 2415 Kennedy Brasher Road, Greenville, went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Christian County. She was a homemaker and member of Church of God in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lily Butler; and a brother, Charles Butler.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William David "Bill" Beasley of Greenville; two brothers, William Gaither Butler and Billy Butler, both of Colcord, W.Va.; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Charles Edwards officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mitch Davis. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
