NOTE
Nothing indicates that John Lamb or Lydia or any of their family were in Springfield, MA. Lydia was from Marshfield (currently that is about 17.9 miles from Braintree). John from Braintree, MA, and Lydia from Marshfield, to have traveled to Springfield, MA to marry (currently about 101 miles from Braintree) and then to return to Braintree would have involved two long trips in those days. John resided in Braintree, MA before and after his marriage to Lydia and there most of his children, from two marriages, were born. Later John and Lydia moved to Stonington, CT, where at least one child was born and where his estate was probated. He would not have been the John Lamb who married in Springfield, MA.
