Dorral V. Kells, 100, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Satanta District Hospital.
She was born Dec. 17, 1910, to Eli B. and Mary E. Pippett Gilchrist in Pottawatomie County, Okla.
She married Vern Kells June 14, 1929, in Garden City. He preceded her in death.
She was a cashier at a grocery store and later a clothing store in Garden City for more than years. She retired in 1995.
She was a member of the Sublette Christian Church.
She served as a 4-H leader for many years.
She enjoyed singing, dancing and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Vivian Hoffman and husband, Randall, Sublette, Beulah Lucas and husband, Gerald, Sublette; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and one great-great-grandchild.
