DEATH CLAIMS MRS. BIBERSTEIN AT MUNCIE TUES.
Former Elizabeth Hofstetter, Native of Berne, Is Victim of Cancer
Mrs. Elizabeth Hofstetter-Biberstein, 44, wife of David Biberstein of Muncie and a native of Berne, passed away at 10:20 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Ball Memorial hospital in Muncie, following a long illness and much suffering with cancer. Mrs. Biberstein has been ill since last January and since that time submitted to two operations.
The deceased was a daughter of Abraham Hofstetter and Elizabeth Myers-Hofstetter and was born here in November 1900. She was married 27 years ago to Mr. Biberstein, also a native of this community. Most of the time since their marriage they have resided away from here.
Surviving are the husband and five children; Charles, who resided at Fort Wayne; Elda, Don and Robert at home, and Leona at Gaston; also the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Chris Bar?? Of Berne, Mrs. George Franzen of San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Dean Pereson of Hayward, a suburb of San Francisco, and Charles Hofstetter of Shreveport, La. Mrs. Cleo Hartman of this place is a sister-in-law.
A daughter Elizabeth died in an accident nearly three years ago and a brother in early life, also preceded her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 P.M. at Gaston. Burial will also be there.
