GREENFIELD – Tony R. Pierce, age 42, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home. Born on February 8, 1968 in Greenfield, he was the son of Phillip R. and Pamela D. Pierce. He graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1986.

Tony was a machinist for IAF in Greenfield for six years and CEG in Indianapolis for seven years. He was a member of the Church of God in Greenfield. He had served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. (Rogers) Pierce of Greenfield; parents, Phillip and Pamela Pierce of Greenfield; sons, Phillip R. and Joshua D. Pierce, both of Greenfield; daughter, Paige E. Pierce of Greenfield; sister, Treasure D. (Eric) Smith of Greenfield; and step-children, Jake E. and Mikayla J. Robbins, both of Greenfield. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Deanna (Hayes) Pierce and nephew, Tyler Ray Smith.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 8, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Harol Whitlock will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
