Mr. Adams, 78, was a retired farmer who died, Wednesday afternoon at his home here. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday afternoon at the Fisher Street Methodist Church, of which he was a member for 26 years. The Rev. Thurston Masters, pastor, will efficiate. Born in Waterloo, Al, he moved to Lorado, in Greene County with parents, father, Henry Adams, mother n/a, when three years old . He moved to Jonesboro twenty six years ago. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie Adams; a son, Melvin Adams of Lorado; five daughters, Mrs. Hub Baugh, Mrs. Bill Chappell and Mrs. Letha Neff, all of Jonesboro, Miss Vahntree Adams and Miss Leton Adams, both of Washington, D.C.Adams; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Cooper, and Mrs. Ethel Wyatt, both of Jonesboro, Ark., Mrs. Arthur Weatherly of Pocanhontas and Mrs. Hattie Horton of Los Angeles; three brothers Ben Adams, of Lorado, Huley Adams of Avon Park, Florida, and Fred Adams of Jonesboro. Emerson and Son's Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
