The following death notice appeared in The Spirit of Democracy, Woodsfield, Ohio:
"John Bandi, 92, Dies at Woodsfield Home
"John Bandi, age 92, of 604 South Fourth street, died at his home Wednesday, July 29, at 7:15 after several months illness.
"He was born near Sardis July 7, 1867, the son of Nicholas and Rachael Smith Bandi.
"He lived in Monroe county his entire life, the last ten years being spent in Woodsfield. He was a member of the Methodist church at Fletcher's chapel.
"Surviving are three brothers and two sisters: Ernest, Crooksville; Thurman, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; James, Buffalo, New York; Mrs. Rose Nigg, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Elizabeth Perry, of the home; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
"Friends called at the Schumacher Funeral Home, where services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. with Evangelist T. A. Christy officiating. Burial was made in Fletcher's chapel cemetery."
