Avis L. Testerman, age 84, passed away December 30, 2000, at 6:07 p.m. at Freemand Hospital, Neosho, after an illness.

Mrs. Testerman was born on May 10, 1916, in Anderson, Mo. She has lived in the Lanagan area all of her life. She was an active member of the Lanagan Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and treasurer of the United Methodist Women's group.

She married Carl Testerman July of 1935 in Anderson. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Survivors include one siter, Ruth Latty of Lanagan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be Wednesday, January 3, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at the Woodard-Freund-Thompson Chapel, Neosho. Rev. Doris Schlessman will officiate. Burial will be in the Lanagan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Latty, Joe Pruitt, Gary Haper, Bill Rogers and Leon Cornelius.

Contributions can be made to the Lanagan United Methodist Church building fund.

Arrangments are under the direction of Woodard-Freund-Thompson Funeral Home, Neosho.
