Anna Myrle Zook, 99, Delphi, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi.
She was born Dec. 22, 1911 in Lafayette, Texas. She was the daughter of Virgil Reynolds and Elizabeth (McCurdy) Reynolds.
Anna graduated high school in Texas .
She married B. Jesse Zook on Jan. 1, 1935, in Lafayette, Texas. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1997.
Anna moved to Camden area in 1935.
She was a homemaker and devoted volunteer in her community.
She was a member of the Camden First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there. She was also a member of the Dorcas Missionary Society at the church.
She was a member of the Carroll County Historical Society, Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Camden Lions Club and Camden Community Club.
She volunteered as a Gray Lady at the Logansport Memorial Hospital and was a volunteer worker at the Brethern Home in Flora.
Anna was preceded in death by her son, Dennis, on March 6, 1998.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Camille Hall of Zionsville and Curtis Zook of Westminster, Colo.; and five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Jordan , Katelyn and Garrett.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Camden First Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Marcellino officiating. Burial will be in the Camden Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Camden First Baptist Church.
