Johann "John" MARGRAF immigrated to the US as a boy from Germany with his mother (Magdalena) and sister (Lenora Adelaide). He worked as a "Pumper" for the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway. He died in Kankakee, IL after a ~6 year long decline in health that involved the amputation of his right leg in May 1936. The informant on his death certificate was his son-in-law, George Cassatt.
