OBITUARY.
Died at Wilkesboro March 28, 1903, Andrew Franklin Gragg, son of R. G. and Amanda Gragg, aged 19 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Frank had been in West Virginia at work and attending school when he was taken sick and started home, but failed and was brought home a corpse.
It was sad indeed to see his parents and sisters meet the sad occasion. But they have one consolation that is, he left evidence that he was ready to go. He wrote to his mother some time before his death, that he was reading the Bible and praying and was trying to live the best he could.
Before he died he expressed a desire to hear the Gospel preached. Friends at Wilkesboro read and prayed and sang to him which he greatly enjoyed. He was very humble and patient during his sickness.
Frank was a kind hearted boy. He was once a member of the Baptist church. He confessed his wrong but believe God had forgiven him and died in faith in Jesus.
The funeral was conducted by the writer, from Revelations 14.13. He was laid to rest in the family grave yard to await the Master's call on the great resurrection morn. Dear loved ones, don't weep, for he is not dead but sleepeth. Blessed sleep from which none ever wakes to week.
