John J. Cutright, aged 82, died at the home of James J. Cutright in Union Township, December 24th at 1:00 P. M. of old age. The funeral occurred at Union Church Christmas day at 2 o' clock interment in Johnson graveyard.

The deceased is the oldest and first to pass away of a family of five brothers--the patriarchs of that name so prominent in the history of Union Township and Cumberland County--namely, John, aged 82; Thomas, 80; R.V., 78; George 76; James 72. At a birthday party given in honor of the deceased on the 6th day of last June it was calculated that the combined ages of the five brothers was 378 yrs., the average being 77 3/4. Uncle George is now also very low and expected to follow his older brother to the grave soon.

The deceased came from Ohio in the early settlement of this county and has many friends who will join the relatives in mourning his death.
