Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Faith Worship Center for Mr. Gary Wayne Morris, 65, Southside, who died Tuesday, June 10, 2008. The Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Southside. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct. Mr. Morris was a member of the Faith Worship Center, where he enjoyed helping and serving others. He loved Alabama Crimson Tide football and he also enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Elizabeth Morris; sister, Jane Key; and his late wife, Nellie Morris. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Morris; three sons, Greg (Charlotte) Morris, Tim (Carolyn) Morris and Jimmy Morris; three grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Thomas) Deweese, Courtney Morris and Niki Morris; two brothers, Joe (Lucy) Morris and Ralph Morris; and numerous special nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Tim Freeman and men from the Faith Worship Center. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of ICU at Riverview Regional Medical Center, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Patel and to all of the church family at the Faith Worship Center. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Faith Worship Center.
