Inez L. Emptage, age 94, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 4:23 PM in her residence. She was born in Union County, Ohio on December 29, 1926 to Forrest and Vida (Reynolds) Price. Inez married Robert Emptage on March 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2012 in Marion. She was a member of the Crosswood United Methodist Church. Inez enjoyed camping, playing cards, and baking cakes & cookies. She retired from East Lawn Manor where she served as a nurse’s aide for many years.
Inez is survived by 2 sons; Bruce (Rita) Emptage of LaRue, OH. & Brad Emptage of Marion, OH., 3 brothers; Earl (Jill) Price of LaRue, OH., Bill Price of Richwood, OH., & Bob (Barb) Price of Rodchester, N.Y., 6 grandchildren; Stacy Hinchley, Kelly (Jeremy) Walker, Bryan Emptage, Amber Emptage, Ryan Emptage, & Caitlyn (Daniel) Stevens, 5 great grandchildren, and a very special friend; Jody Haas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert, a son; Bret Emptage, a brother; Glenn Price, 3 sisters; Elsie Wiley, Ellagene Hague, & Mary McElroy, a daughter-in-law; Carol Emptage, and a grandson; Stephen Ulery.
A private family visitation and funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Jennifer Bass on Monday, February 1, 2021, in the Boyd Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery. Contributions in Inez’s name may be given to Heartland Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
