Obituary in The Bienville Democrat November 9, 1995:

Mrs. Helen D. Kettler, a native of Center Texas, a long-time resident of Gibsland, and a resident of Saraland, Ala., died Saturday, November 4, 1995 at her residence. She was a member of the Gibsland United Methodist Church where she once served as treasurer and was very active in the church. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Historical Society, a member of the Eastern Star, and she was retired from Sears where she worked in the Credit Department for many years.

Survivors include her son, O.V. Woodard of Longview Texas; her daughter, Marland K. Contanni of Saraland, Ala.; one sister, Alberta Mau of Santa Clara Ca.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held from the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia Tuesday, November 7, 1995. Interment was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers were James M. Hunter, Billy R. Yates, Kenneth R. Duckworth, Russell G. Kettler, Ronald W. Griffin, Charles E. Chandler, Tommy G. Griffin, Ray Hunter. Honorary pallbearers were Otho Chandler, Ernest D. Chandler, and Clenard Chandler.
