Dorothy E. ''Dottie'' Ackerson was born on April 27, 1924 in Brunswick, NE. to Peter & Louisa (Neppl) Anderson. She died on November 12, 2003 at a St. Helens care center at the age of 78. She was educated & graduated from high school in Neligh, NE. in '42. After hi school she moved to CA. She was in the marine corp from '44-'46. She moved to Longview shortly after the war and to St. Helens in 1948 until present. She has been a very active member of St. Frederic Catholic Church since 1948. She also belonged to the St. Helens Business & Professional Womens Club, St. Helens Altrusa International Club Charter member, St. Helens Credit Wo.men International Charter member, St. Helens Quarter Club, St. Martha's Guild, Blue angel Hospital Auxillary, Oregon Austopathic Auxillary, World Changers Foster Parents. Survivors include: Children: Randy Granger of St. Helens; Rodney Granger of Salem; Rayetta Sheppeard of St. Helens; Kristi Granger of Sonoma, CA.; Trudy Anderson of Portland, OR; Cheryl Gibbs of Klamath Falls, OR.; Terry Ackerson of Baltimore, MD.; Larry Ackerson of Leesberg, Fl.; Siblings Hilda Briggs of St. Helens; Helen Haynes of Portland; Delores Pallett of LaHabra, CA.; Kenneth Anderson of St. Helens; Norman Anderson of Brigham City, UT.; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
