Wyora Ann Hoopes, 85, of Archer died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Rexburg Care Center.

Wyora was born Nov. 15, 1919, at Archer, a daughter of James Briggs, Sr. and Hannah Elizabeth Nelson Briggs. She attended schools in Archer and Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School.

She married Clarence Leonard Hoopes, June 7, 1941, at Blackfoot. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple March 5, 1980.

She was a member of the LDS Church. Wyora spent most of her summers in the mountains logging with her husband and family. She enjoyed making arts and crafts for her family.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara Aldean Stone of Idaho Falls and Priscilla Eileen (Conrad) Michaels of Phoenix; a sister, Mildred Corey of Archer; grandchildren, Terrie Jeffs, Trina Fazendin, Jason Stone, Stephanie Zamenick, Ginger Coldcleugh and Reuben Michaels; 11 great-grandchildren, Ceelie, Kasey, Tyler, Korey, Kelsie, Jaycie, Jamie, Emonnee, Teeonna, Zarah and Dahmare; and a great-great-grandchild, Taygen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Clara Hunsaker and Edith Sharp and brothers, James Briggs, Earl Briggs and Elmer Briggs.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby with Bishop Norman Erickson officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Friday for an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery in Archer.
