"Willis Ryan, aged 21, freight brakeman on the Milwaukee railroad, was instantly killed at Sexton, six miles east of Algona, his body being badly mangled."

"Will Ryan, a brakeman on the C. M & St. P. railroad, was killed at Sexton Wednesday. He fell in front of an engine and his body was cut in two."
