Nola Dean Tipton, 71 of 261 Horseshoe Bend Road, Jonesborough, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the John M. Reed Nursing Home. She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late John W. and Nellie C. Gobble Tipton, and had lived most of her life here. Mrs. Tipton was a retired homemaker and gardener who loved her flowers. She was the widow of Charles Tipton since 1994 and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she, was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Survivors include, two sons, Darrell B. (& Helen ) Tipton and Randy K. Tipton; a daughter, Theresa E. (& Joe Paxton) Bollette; a brother, William Mitchell all of Jonesborough, five grandchildren, Clinton, Derrick and Ryan Tipton, Christopher and Michael Bollette, one greatgranddaughter, Kayla Bollette, two step grandsons and two great granddaughters.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2005 in the South Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Mike Pelham. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service at one. A committal service will be conducted in the Snyder Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
