Funeral services were held on Monday, October 18 at 2:00 PM for Rosa Elizabeth (Alcorn) Henley, 91, who passed away on October 16th at 2: PM in a Beeville hospital. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery at Odem, TX and services were held at the George West Church of Christ. Live Oak Funeral Home directed. Pallbearers were Harry Linney, A.F. Schroeder, Norman Thomas, Howard Wilson, Harry Hinton and Travis Wilson. The deceased was born on July 22, 1885 in Indiana and had resided in George West since 1945. She was a housewife. SurvivOrs include five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Arnett of Crockett, Tx., Mrs. Tommie Harthorn of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Naomi Pettis of Freer and Mrs. Ethel Flood and Miss Nellie Henley, both of George West; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Mable Sowell of Kansas City, Mo.
