Mrs. J. R. Strubble
The body of Mrs. J. R. Strubble, a former Barrington resident, wife of Dr. J. R. Strubble, who died Oct. 8 at Loxley, Ala., where she and her husband were residing, was brought here for burial Monday.
Funeral services were held at the Blocks chapel at 2 o'clock that afternoon. Rev. B. R. Schultze officiated and Mesdames Chas. Thies and J. C. Cadwallader sang. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
Virginia Jayne Strubble was born on a farm near Barrington Jan. 30, 1873. She was educated in the Barrington public schools, graduating with the class of 1890, and completed her education under a relative, Ebenezer Jayne, who was a principal of a Chicago school. For seven years she followed the vocation of teaching, being employed in the schools of this vicinity, and later became a stenographer.
She was married to Dr. Strubble July 25, 1900, and went to Chicago to make her home.
She leaves to mourn their loss, three brothers--Arthur A. Jayne of Barrington township, Samuel M. Jayne of Chicago, and Ebenezer Jayne of Algonquin; two sisters--Mrs. Elizabeth B. Spear and Mrs. Zoa Moorhouse of Chicago; eight nephews and seven nieces, besides the husband.
