Della McMains, 77, a former Stockwell and Lafayette, IN resident died Nov. 29, 1991 in her home at Coeur d'Alene, ID. She was born in Stockwell, IN, on July 11, 1914, but grew up in Lafayette and graduated from Jefferson High School. She married James McMains on Dec. 19, 1938, in Long Beach, CA; he survives. Mrs. McMains lived in Azusa, CA, where she was the assistant to the city administrator. In 1955, she moved to Redding, CA, where she worked for the California Division of Forestry. She then lived in Seattle, WA, for 16 years and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and Boeing Aerospace Industries. She was a member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Right to Life, Friends of Couer d'Alene Library, the 700 Club, where she served as a telephone counselor, and was active in the Republican Party. Surviving with her husband are three sons, John McMains of Couer d'Alene, James M. McMains of Port Arthur, TX, and Brian McMains of Seattle; a daughter, Patricia Leam of Couer d'Alene; and two sisters, Edna Schwint of Lafayette, IN, and Thelma Fitzroy of Napa, CA.
