SYLVESTER — Charles J. McCrary, 79, of Sylvester died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church with interment in Antioch Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Gordon will officiate.

Born April 26, 1927 in Perry, Fla., to Joseph Clarence McCrary and Anona Mae Cannon McCrary, Mr. McCrary had lived in Worth County all his life. He was retired from Coats & Clark of Albany. He was a farmer and mechanic. Mr. McCrary was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and VFW Post 4825.

Survivors include his wife, Margie McDonald McCrary of Sylvester; one son, Robin McCrary (Kim) of Bridgeboro; one daughter, Cherry M. Dailey (Richard) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Monica Williams (Dwayne) and Chad Dailey (Christy); four great-grandchildren, Peyton Norman, Charlee Norman, Brittany Dailey and Ashlyn Dailey.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Banks Funeral Home.
