OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) -

Mildred Minerva Dillman, 96, formerly of rural Roann, Indiana, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born March 26, 1914 in Wabash, Indiana to Pressley E. and Hazel Marie (Lytle) Brown.

Minerva married Lawrence Everett Dillman in Wabash on March 15, 1936.

She was a 1933 graduate of Linlawn High School in Wabash. She worked 17 years for Wabash Magnetics retiring in 1976. Minerva was a member of the Roann Church of the Brethren. She loved fishing and traveling with her husband, Everett, and camping with her family. She was known for her excellent cooking and sewing. Minerva had lived at Peabody Retirement Community since April 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Everett" Dillman of Roann; her daughter, Bonnie J. (Thomas) Krom of Lebanon, Tennessee; two grandchildren, James (Katy Georgiadis) Krom of Belmont, Massachusetts, and Mark (Brenda) Krom of Knox, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Peter Krom, both of Belmont, and Kaylee and Carson Krom, both of Knox; brother, Glenn E. (Marlyn) Brown of Wabash; two sisters, Mary A. Keppel of North Manchester, Indiana, and Martha J. Young of Logansport, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at Roann Church of the Brethren, South Chippewa Road, Roann, on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Brad Eckerley officiating. #Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 S. Chippewa Road, Roann, and one hour prior to service on Friday at the church. Preferred memorial is Roann Church of the Brethren.
