Enlisted Aug. 18, 1862 into Co C 29th Iowa Infantry.
Mustered Nov. 9, 1862 Council Bluffs,Iowa.

Died of disease April 30, 1863, Post Hospital, Helena, Ark.
Based on others that died at Helena, buried originally Helena. Then in 1867 exhumed and moved to Memphis Nat. Cemetery.
Many marked as unknowns due to poor record keeping.
