She was born August 12, 1909, in Monroe, Idaho, to Henry Albert Whitmill and Delia Pope Whitmill. She was the middle child in a family of nine children and throughout her life cherished happy memories of her childhood on the farm where she was raised.
On November 24, 1926, she married Clifford Heber Keller in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were a devoted couple. After his death, in December 1976, she continued working many years for the A.E.C., where she was a valued and honored employee.
She lived 84 years in Idaho Falls, where she had numerous family and friends. In 1993 she moved to LaVerkin and later St. George, Utah, to be close to her daughter. After suffering medical problems she moved to Layton in 2001 to be nearer her son and was a resident at Apple Tree Assisted Living.
Ethel was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was talented in needlework and crocheted beautiful doilies. She and Cliff loved the outdoors and were avid fishermen. They enjoyed traveling and spending time at the family cabin overlooking Palisades Reservoir and went there often with their children and grandchildren, Khristi, Shayne, Lori, Dix, Troy and Jeff.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara (Gerald) Bowen of St. George; and one son, Montie (Ann) Keller of Layton; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her dear husband, Cliff; her brothers, Bill, Farrell, Lewis, and Art; and by her sisters, Bertha, Ella, and Deola.
