Mr. Futrell was a graduate of Oak Hill High School in Hineston, La. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1947. He was employed as Maintenance Superintendent at Huey P. Long Memorial Hospital for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, children, his children by marriage. He is also survived by his nephew of Alexandria, many cousins, and his special canine friend, Prissy.
He was a special "PaPa" to his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the River of Life Church, 7001 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, Louisiana 71301.
Services were under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
