OBITUARY FROM THE MUSKEGO SUN: Fellow firefighters paid final tributeTuesday to Arnold Baseler, a member of the Muskego Volunteer Fire Department for 37 years. Three fire engines were in the processionof mourners for a memorial service at the Becker Ritter Muskgo Funeral Home. Eight members of the department served as pallbearers and two as honor guard. Fire Chief Thomas Ludwig recalled that Baseler became a volunteer firefighter when the department was only one year old. He called him a true volunteer who was always willing to help. Baseler died of a heart attack August 18 at the age of 65. He was born in Muskego and was a graduate of Waukesha High School. Upon graduation from high school he enter the Army Air Corp.. He was a retiree of the Wisconsin Gas Company. At one time held the positions of lietenant, captian and assistant chief in the Muskego Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Eileen, and by two sons Daniel Sr. and Alan. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Daniel Jr. and Nicole; two brothers Raymond (Marge) Baseler and Robert Bertram and and by one sister Ruth Sachi. Committal Services took place at the Rural Home Cemetery at Big Bend.
