Services for Mabel G. Collier, 69, of 2600 S. Bryant St., Bloomington, who died Friday in Bloomington Hospital, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Greene and Harrell Mortuary. The Rev. Glen Bogue will officiate. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Born October 23, 1916, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the Rev. James Robert and Mary Ellen (Waldrip) Sexton. She was retired from the Bloomington Basket Company. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Jack Collier of Bloomington; five daughters, Barbara DuBois, Ruth Ann Walcott, Mary Ann Newport, and Mitzie Hicks, all of Bloomington, and Robertene Linthicum of Indianapolis; one son, Liza Payton of Bloomington; three step daughters, Joan Rydle of San Antonio, Texas, and Joyce McCartney and Judy Hosapple, both of Martinsville; two brothers, Fred and William Sexton, both of Bloomington; three sisters, Ella Hinkle and Norma Durham both of Bloomington and Anabelle Hill of Columbus; 13 grand children, 9 great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren and 13 great step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Cotton Sexton and Garnet Sexton. Friends may call from 2 – 9 p.m. today at Greene and Harrett Mortuary.
