Mrs. Amanda Rote
Mrs. Amanda Role of Coleville, sister of Mrs. D. S. Bay of Avis, died at her home Wednesday, December 3, 1941, after an illness with complications. One of Centre County's oldest residents, she had reached an age of 91 years. Although in failing health for some years, she had been in bed only a month before she died.
The deceased, who spent nearly all her life in Coleville, was survived also by two sons and two daughters, another sister, six grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Her husband, William H. Rote, died many years ago.
Funeral services were conducted at the home by the Reverend C. C. Shuey of Bellefonte. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Bellefonte.
