Henry Foland at the age of 50 years hung himself in his log cabin east of the
Soap Factory road on the present Emery Neese farm. The body was buried near
the cabin becaues in those days a man who committed suicide could not be
buried in the Perkinsville cemetery. Foland was buried in a very shallow
grave. A rail pen was put around the grave and when the farm was sold his
grave was plowed over.
