Alice C. Buskirk, 81, of Stanton, died May 25, 2003, at Pine River Healthcare Center, St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Sheridan, the daughter of James and Flossie Brown Brand.
She married Elton C. Buskirk on Nov. 24, 1943, in Stanton.
Mrs. Buskirk was a lifelong resident of the Stanton area and was a member of Day Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a very active member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Elton C. Buskirk; four sons and daughter-in-law, David and Kathleen Buskirk of Vestaburg, Richard and Sherry Buskirk, Terry and Kathy Buskirk, Kriss and Lorrie Buskirk, all of Stanton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Jeppesen of Stanton and Lena Greenhoe of Crystal.
Funeral services are 11 a.m.Thursday at Day Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Dupont officiating. Interment is in McBride Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial consideration to Day Bethel Baptist Church.
