Gaylord Beal Hatch, 71, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at his home in Mesquite, NV. He was born November 29, 1939 in Cove City in Cache Valley, UT, to Alton James and Ruth Erma Beal Hatch.

Gaylord married Beatrice Ochoa in 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded Gaylord in death.

He was raised in Cache Valley and went to grade school in Logan, UT and then moved to Salt Lake City for Junior High and High School.

Gaylord was most recently a locksmith at the Virgin River Casino prior to retirement. He was previously employed by the Salt Lake Tribune newspaper as Page Layout for 15 years.

His hobbies and interests were growing exotic plants, music, nature, writing poetry, and traveling the western United States.

Gaylord was survived by two sisters, Clarice Hatch Campbell, Richland, WA, and Iris Loraine Hatch, Mesquite, NV, a brother, Daniel James Hatch, Richfield, UT and a step-son, Alan Fialho, Dallas, TX.
