Louise Masters Harris, age 90, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 15, 2011, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Harris was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Walter Lee and Mary Magdeline Fannings Masters. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Harris was a lifelong member of the Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and mamaw who taught her morals to her children and grandchildren. Other than her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Harris on February 25, 2008, an infant son, five sisters and a son-in-law, Kenneth Cannon.
Survivors include, two sons, Hubert Harris and wife, Carolyn, Richard Harris and wife, Shirley, all of Erwin; Three daughters, Charlotte Cannon, Henrietta, North Carolina, who was her parents caregiver for several years. Donna Morefield and husband, Richard, Erwin, Nancy Dover, La Fayette, Georgia; Thirteen grandchildren; Seventeen great grandchildren; Three great-great grandchildren; Several nephews and nieces.
Many special friends including Terrell Anders, Mary Bennett, Bob and Eleanor Grindstaff, Mary Watts, Paul Whitson, Walter Harris and Junior and Brenda Hensley.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Homer Tweed will officiate. Music will be provided by Mary Bennett and Allen Morefield. Pallbearers will be Rick Harris, Allen Morefield, Shaun Harris, Bobby Ayers, Terrell Anders, and Mike Kelly. Minister, family, pallbearers and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 P. M. Wednesday.
Friends may call at the home of a daughter. Donna Morefield and husband Richard, 150 Parker Street, Erwin.
