Anthony Eugene Ballou, 71, Clinton, died Monday, January 17, 2000, at his home. Memorial services will be held at Consalus Chapel, Clinton, Friday. He was born March 3, 1928, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Archie E. and Kathryn I. Bennett Ballou. July 17, 1950, he married Betty Lee McAdon at Elk Point, South Dakota. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He held memberships with TAC-NET and National Association Retired Federal Employees. He was a retired inspector with the Corps of Engineers. Survivors include his wife Betty of the home; sons, Alan Ballou and wife Carol, Springfield, Michael Ballou and wife Kathryn, Roeland Park, Kansas, and Steven Ballou and wife Jane, Clinton; daughters, Kathy Mount and husband Gary, and Jan Stanford and husband Mel, all of Clinton; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
