He was born in Preston, Idaho on April 16, 1881, a son of Martin and Karen Henriksen (sic) Johnson. Later he was married to Adeline Kershaw in the Logan Temple on March 26, 1901 and they moved to a farm in the Rigby area.
Besides his widow, he is survived by eight sons and daughters: Mrs. Alverla Wood and Raymond Johnson of Idaho Falls; Vernal Johnson, Martin A. Johnson, Mrs. Floyd (Marriel) Crystal, Mrs. Claude (Madge) Trembling and Clyde Johnson, all of Rigby; Mrs. Fred (Alla) Chadburn of Shelley; 23 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Two sisters and three brothers also survive: Mrs. Annie C. Lloyd of Concord, Calif.; Mrs. Caroline Condie, Henry Johnson and Julius Johnson of Preston; and Heber Johnson of Caldwell.
