Age 64, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011. He was born February 20, 1947 in Ypsilanti, the son of Leonard C. and Grace M. (Hoyt) Kwiecinski. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Roger served honorably in the U.S. Army for five years during the Vietnam War. He then served in the National Guard. He retired from General Motors after 36 years of employment. Roger was an active member of his community, including the neighborhood watch program. He was also a member of the Grass Lake Gun Club. Roger was an awesome mechanic and loved cars. He recently purchased a 2011 Mustang. His biggest joy was spoiling his grandchildren. Survivors include his father, Leonard; two children, Karen (Donald Daughter) Kwiecinski and Brian (Jennifer) Kwiecinski; three grandchildren, Brianna, Donald and MacKenzie; two sisters, Bonnie and Lori; and three brothers, Gary, Jeff and Keith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace. The funeral service will be 11 am Friday, August 19, 2011 at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service with Pastor Gordon Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Please sign his guest book at www.ochalekstark.com.
