ALBANY — Katie Lois Dorminey McDonald, 81, of 807 Middle Road, Leesburg, died Thursday, February 5, 2004, at Palmyra Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Antioch Baptist Church with interment in Antioch Cemetery. The Elder Roger McDonald, Rev. Jerry Cooper, will officiate.

Mrs. McDonald was born February 11, 1922, in Dooly Co., GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. McDonald, March 16, 1977. She lived in Worth County most of her life and she was a Homemaker who loved flowers and gardening. She resided the last 5 years with her daughter in Leesburg, GA. Mrs. McDonald was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Sue (Jeff) Sargent of Leesburg and Mary Lou (Joe) Daniels of Albany; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne (Sheryl) McDonald of Atlanta and Warren (Kathy) McDonald of St. Augustine, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 23 great children.

Katie's father was Joseph Dorminey of Dooly County. Her mother was Katie Lois Irwin Dorminey (her namesake) who died young in 1922. Her father's 2nd wife was Eva Reynolds Dorminey, buried in Hillcrest Cem., Sylvester, Ga.
