Patsy Lou Strand was born October 10, 1938 at Kathryn, ND the daughter of Joseph and Rosella (Swenson) Strand. She was educated in the Kathryn, ND High School graduating in 1956. Patsy worked in Baton Rouge, LA for a short time and returned to North Dakota in 1957 and settled in Jamestown. She was employed in the kitchen at the North Dakota State Hospital for several years and also at the Ramada Inn of Jamestown. Patsy married LeRoy Wolff on September 17, 1977 at Jamestown. He died on August 29, 1994 at Jamestown. She became a resident of Hi-Acre Manor in 2004.
Survivors include 2 sons, Michael (Gina) Gilbertson and Daniel (Jill) Gilbertson, both Jamestown, ND; 3 daughters, Vicki (Martin) Nitschke, Jodi (Kevin) Reuther and Karmen (Mark) Tees, all Jamestown, ND; 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Arlene Jones, Arizona and Connie Jensen, Park River, ND and 3 brothers, Ron Jacobson, Mandan, ND, LeRoy Jacobson, Showlow, AZ and Larry Jacobson, Kathryn, ND. Her parents, husband, 1 son Ronald and 2 sisters preceded her in death.
Patsy enjoyed her family, spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and woodworking.
Funeral – 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Reverend Doug Opp officiating. Visitation – Noon to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6 and Monday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. to service time at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND. Interment – Waldheim Cemetery, Kathryn, ND
