DEATH OF MRS. GEORGE GARMAN. Former Neponset Young Woman Dies in a Hospital.
As was stated in a brief item in the Messenger last week, Mrs. George Garman (Daisy Smith) died in a hospital in Chicago Tuesday afternoon, and later the following particulars were received. Mrs. Garman went to Chicago four weeks ago and a short time afterward an operation was performed, and one week ago when her husband visited her she seemed to be getting along nicely and he returned home satisfied that she would soon follow him. But it seems the physicians decided upon another operation, which resulted in her death. The remains were taken from Chicago to Princeton, where they were interred Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Garman was 27 years of age. Her maiden name was Daisy Smith. She was born and raised in Neponset. Six years ago she was married to Mr. Garman, and to them two children were born, and they are now aged two and five years respectively. They are with a relative in Rock Island. Mr. Garman and the children have the sympathy of the community.
