Paul R. Myers, 56. Of Hilton Head Plantation, died Tuesday in Baltimore, Maryland. A native of Newman, Illinois, he was the son of Paul W. and Nancy Wilson Myers of Frankfurt, Kentucky, who survive him. Mr. Myers, a graduate of the University of Dayton, retired as a manufacturer’s representative in the electronics industry. He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1979 from Nashville, Indiana. He owned the Appliance and Kitchen Center on Hilton Head. He was a member of the Electronic Representatives Association, The Hilton Head Senior Men’s Golf Association and the Oyster Reef Golf Club.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. Myers; a daughter, Nancy Kay Catanella of Bloomington, Indiana; two sons, Paul M. Myers and James R. Myers, both of Purcellville, Virginia; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Howard Sale and the Rev. Joseph Majewski officiating. The Island Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association, Hilton Head Island, SC; Hilton Head Hospital, or the Hilton Head Island Rescue Squad.
