Blood poisoning, resulting from an infection, caused the death of Clarence J. Healey, aged 32 years, 601 West Fourth Street, in Bellevue hospital at 12:45 Saturday noon [December 21, 1929]. He had been a patient in the hospital for eight weeks. His left foot was amputated recently but he failed to rally.

Clarence Healey spent his entire life in Muscatine County. He was born March 21, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Healey. He was a member of the Elks and Knights of Columbus lodges.

The survivors are his parents, four brothers, Edward and Eugene of Muscatine and Frank and John Healey of Mercedes, Texas. A sister, Mrs. Allen Cross, died in 1920.
Funeral plans are incomplete but services will be held Monday at St. Mathias Church. (Quad City Times, December 22, 1919)
