PATTON Bernard M. Patton, age 94, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Summit Trace Health Care in Columbus. Born April 9, 1917 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Carl A. and Myrtle (Lowry) Patton. Also preceded in death by brother Paul R. Patton, and sister Naomi Virginia Vonchrilts. A WWII Army veteran, he was a retired Machinist for the Capital Manufacturing Co. Member of Faith United Methodist Church, Canal Winchester Lions Club, South Gate-Potter Lodge, F&AM, and past-member of the Foreman's Club. He also enjoyed bowling in his spare time. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Ruth M. (Harvey) Patton; son, Gary L. (Carol) Patton, Columbus; daughter, Martha (Don) Ross, Royal Palm Beach, FL; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard L. (Mary) Patton, Pickerington; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may visit Monday, from 5-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester 43110 where a Masonic Service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service and celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester at 2:30 p.m. Donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio in his memory
