Edgar I. East, 78, died at 7 o'clock last night at his home, 113 East Seventh Street, after a lingering illness.
A native of Anderson, Mr. East had Muncie been a resident of Muncie for more than 40 years. He was the proprietor of a shoe repair shop at his home.
Survivors are the widow, Agnes, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Bowers, of Anderson.
The body was removed to the Parson mortuary where funeral arrangements will be completed.
