The following info sent by Henry S. Dillon (#47247685)
Catharine (Harshman) (Dillon) Hicks, daughter of Christian Harshman and Mary Elizabeth Windom, first married a Harvey Dillon in 1854. Harvey Dillon was likely the eldest child of Hugh Dillon and Catharine Schultz. To Harvey and Catharine was born only one confirmed child, Hugh Dillon, born 12 Nov 1854. Harvey is not enumerated in the 1860 census at the Dillon residence, Barnesville, Belmont Co., Ohio, suggesting he may have died prematurely before his 30th birthday.

In 1867, Catharine (Harshman) Dillon married Jeremiah A. Hicks (b. 3 Apr 1822). By 1870 this family has relocated to Haydenville PO Dist., Green Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio and by 1880 to the Tucker Dist., Wirt Co., WV. Catharine's son, Hugh Dillon, is enumerated with the family in both the 1870 and 1880 residences, though he is also shown to have married Mary Jane Gallagher in 1879. Catharine (Harshman) (Dillon) Hicks and husband Jeremiah likely returned after 1880 to Franklin Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio, where Catharine died in 1894 and is buried in the Stafford Cemetery.

By 1900, Jeremiah Hicks (Hix), former husband to Catherine (Harshman) Dillon resettled to Perry Twp., Hocking Co., Ohio, where he is enumerated living with his sister, Ruth Woods. He is shown to be widowed. He is 78 years old.

By 1910, Jeremiah resettled to Millwood Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio, residing with Mary Jane (Gallagher) Dillon (widow of Hugh Dillon) and her son, Benjamin F. Dillon. He is listed as a stepfather to the head of household as he was previously the stepfather of May Jane Dillon’s husband, Hugh Dillon.

Jeremiah Hicks (Hix) died 6 Oct 1911, Millford Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio. The informant for his death certificate was Mary Jane Dillon. We were unable to locate a FindAGrave memorial for Jeremiah Hicks (Hix) in Guernsey Co. (Researched by Connie Grimm)
