Harold C. Hedger, 75, of Sherman, Kentucky, died March 11, 1988 at his home after a long illness from cancer. He was chairman of the board of Grant County Deposit Bank ib Williamstown at his death. He bgan working at the bank thirty-eight years ago. Also widely kjnown at one time as a breeder of Holstein cattle, hehad been recognized for several years for having high-producing milk cattle. The Holstein her was dispersed about1986. His Shertuck Fqarmwas a Limousin beef cattle operation at his death. He also grew tobacco. He worked his way up through the ranks at the bank until he becmae president, then chairman of theboard, according to the bank present and vice chairman, D. W. Dills. The Grant County Chamber of Commerce namedhim Grant Countain of the year in 1984. He was a deacon and formerSundaySchool t4eacher at Williamstown Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Stewart Hedger; two sons, Stewart and Jim Hedger of Sherman; also one daughter, Alice Fay Hedger.

He was the son of James Thomas Hedger 1885-1966 and Sarah Elizabeth Conrad 1886-1976
