Son of Samuel and Hanna (Scott) Nichols. William was born in Dallas,TX. He grew to manhood in Texas, then moved to Rosston, OK. He married Laura Belle Morris on September 23, 1894. William & Laura Belle moved to California and then to Caldwell, ID in 1946. Following Laura Belle's death in 1947, William resided with his daughter in Eagle, ID. He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church. William & Laura Belle had 8 children: Iva (Bowers), Pearle, Dora (Luckie), Blanch (Brown), Zula, Ernest, Minerva & Marie (Sizelove).
