BECK Lee Roy, age 80, of Oklahoma City was born September 1, 1920 in Atoka, OK, and died April 22, 2001 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. He married Sammy Dee Laughlin on December 6, 1946 at Wayne, OK and lived in Oklahoma City since that time. Lee was a veteran and served with the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired Civil Service employee and worked at Tinker AFB from 1948 to 1976. He is survived by his wife, Sammy Dee of the home; daughters, Karen LeRoyce Wiper of Kent, Ohio and Teresa Lynn Sochor of Guthrie, OK; granddaughters, Jennifer Blakelock of Euclid, Ohio, Andrea Blakelock (Hospital Corpsman in US Navy) Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Lynn Sochor of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Cecil Albert Beck of OKC; sisters, Oneda Mathenia of Pixley, CA, Retha Bissig of Pacifica, CA, Erma Lee Canfield and Meda Crawford of Auburn, WA and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, April 26 at Guardian West Chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Officiating will be nephew, Jim Hoipkimier.
