James Robert “Jim” Watson of Greenville died Friday afternoon at his home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Tidwell Cemetery with Rev. B.J. Bell officiating.

Mr. Watson was born June 3, 1904, in Hunt County to William Robert and Creola Miller Watson. He married Susie Eldridge in 1929 in Wolfe City. He was a Carpenter and member of Honey Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Charles H. Price of Winnsboro; a brother, Orville Watson of Wolfe City; sisters, Rosie Mae Dobb and Mary Barker of Greenville, Juanita Walker of Paris and Lizzie Sandefer of California, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kay Price, in 1979.

Pallbearers will be Paul Watson, Arthur Watson, Ray Eldridge, Cleve Power, Mike Eldridge and Mark Eldridge. Honorary pallbearers are Ross Wallace and Ann Dunn.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of services.
